Adobe Firefly 30% Off Ends Oct 21: The First Year Is a Commitment

At a glance

Adobe's U.S. Firefly Pro Plus and Premium offer cuts the first-year price by 30%, but requires 12 months and limits unlimited use to web and mobile.

Adobe’s U.S. Firefly promotion cuts Pro Plus to $34.97 per month and Premium to $139.91 per month for the first year. It ends on 21 October 2026. The important term is not on the large price: both offers require a 12-month commitment.

The offer is limited to first-time eligible U.S. subscribers who buy directly from Adobe or through Adobe Customer Support. It is not available to education, OEM, or volume-licensing customers. At the end of the term, Adobe says the subscription renews at the then-current price, currently $49.99 for Pro Plus and $199.99 for Premium, unless the subscriber changes or cancels.

That price promotion sits beside a different benefit: eligible individual Firefly plans receive unlimited generations on select models for 12 consecutive months. That entitlement works only on firefly.adobe.com and the Firefly mobile app. It does not make desktop Adobe apps unlimited.

All facts and prices below were checked against Adobe’s U.S. pages on 28 August 2026.

The offer Adobe actually published

Adobe’s promotion terms give the same eligibility and commitment for the two discounted plans:

Individual plan First-year offer Current renewal price named in the offer First-year cash commitment before tax
Firefly Pro Plus $34.97/month $49.99/month $419.64
Firefly Premium $139.91/month $199.99/month $1,678.92

The promotion runs from 21 May through 21 October 2026. It is one subscription per customer, requires the buyer to be at least 18, and applies only to first-time eligible subscribers in the United States who purchase through Adobe.

The regular U.S. Firefly plans page also lists Standard at $9.99 with 2,000 monthly credits and Pro at $19.99 with 4,000. Neither is part of this 30% price offer. Pro Plus includes 10,000 monthly credits; Premium includes 50,000.

The 30% saves $15.02 per month on Pro Plus and $60.08 on Premium against today’s regular prices. Across the required term, that is $180.24 and $720.96 respectively. Those are comparisons with the current list, not a promise that a future renewal price cannot change.

“Monthly” does not mean cancel any month without a charge

The plan cards show a monthly price because the commitment is billed monthly. The offer terms still require 12 months.

Adobe’s U.S. Subscription and Cancellation Terms say an annual contract billed monthly receives a full refund if canceled within 14 days of the initial order. After 14 days, the usual U.S. charge is 50% of the remaining contract obligation, with service continuing until the end of that month’s billing period. For California customers, the page states 30% of the annual commitment instead. Local law and the exact checkout contract remain controlling.

This is the blocking correction to the original draft: the first-year promotion is not ordinary month-to-month Firefly billing. A buyer who wants the low first-year price must also accept the first-year exit rule.

After the first year, the offer terms say renewal is automatic at the then-current price unless the subscriber changes or cancels. Adobe’s U.S. general terms say an annual-billed-monthly subscription moves to monthly renewal after the first year. Record the renewal date and the price shown in the account before month 13.

The unlimited clock is separate from the sale deadline

Adobe’s Firefly unlimited-generations special-offer page, updated 23 July 2026, describes the second clock.

Eligible individual plans include Firefly Pro, Pro Plus, Premium, and the listed 4,000-, 7,000-, 10,000-, and 50,000-credit subscriptions. Teams and Enterprise are excluded. An existing Creative Cloud subscriber must add a qualifying credit subscription rather than assuming a current seat was included.

The year begins when the eligible plan starts and runs for 12 consecutive months. After that, users return to consuming credits for the models covered by the temporary offer. The 21 October deadline decides whether the discounted plan can be bought; it does not mean everyone’s unlimited period ends on the same date.

Upgrading inside the first year can unlock additional models, but Adobe says it does not extend the original unlimited end date. A late upgrade is a larger model set for the remaining time, not a new 12-month window.

Unlimited applies to a surface and a model list

Adobe limits the special offer to the Firefly website and Firefly mobile app. It explicitly excludes other Adobe products and desktop applications. If the production workflow lives in desktop Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere, normal credit rules apply there; the special-offer unlimited entitlement does not.

The live plan copy differentiates the model scope:

  • Pro: select models, including Nano Banana and Flux.2 Pro.
  • Pro Plus: all image models at 1K/2K and select video models, including Kling 2.5 Turbo, Nano Banana Pro at 1K/2K, and Nano Banana 2 at 1K/2K.
  • Premium: Veo 3.1 Fast, Kling 3.0, and all image models at 1K/2K/4K, including Nano Banana Pro at 4K and ChatGPT Image 2.

Those are current examples, not a fixed catalog. Adobe says the included models and resolutions can change and that usage-management measures such as adjusted speed or queueing may be introduced. Check the plan card immediately before purchase.

Some standard features remain unlimited regardless of this temporary offer: Firefly Image 4 and 3, Generative Fill, Generative Erase, Generative Expand, Remove Background, and Upscale. A creator whose work stays inside that list may not need the sale at all.

Buy, skip, or cancel

Buy Pro Plus when the 1K/2K partner-image and listed video models will be used heavily on Firefly web or mobile, the 10,000-credit allowance fits the rest of the workflow, and the full $419.64 first-year commitment is acceptable.

Buy Premium only when the Premium-only model or resolution access and 50,000 credits justify a $1,678.92 first-year commitment. A 30% badge does not make a high-volume plan inexpensive.

Skip the promotion when the work stays in desktop Adobe apps, uses only the standard features that remain unlimited, belongs on a team or enterprise plan, or cannot support a 12-month contract.

Cancel inside the initial 14-day refund window if the purchased surface, model access, or commitment is not what checkout represented. After that, price the contract charge before canceling. Cancel through the Adobe Account or Customer Support and preserve the confirmation.

Before the first-year anniversary, compare actual model use with the then-current renewal price. Adobe does not offer a separate “turn off auto-renew” switch for this flow; canceling the subscription is the documented way to stop renewal.

Pre-purchase record

Save these items before paying:

  1. The U.S. offer-terms page showing the plan, price, date, and 12-month commitment.
  2. The checkout line that states the initial charge, billing interval, and renewal date.
  3. The Firefly special-offer page showing the eligible surface and current model list.
  4. The account date marking the end of the 12 consecutive months.
  5. Calendar reminders for the 14-day refund decision and the first-year renewal decision.

The offer can be rational for a creator who will front-load a year of eligible Firefly web/mobile work. It is a poor rescue purchase for someone expecting a cheap month of desktop generation.
